Edinburgh is often described as a mystical city with historic buildings and a bustling vibe, filled with secret luscious green spots and unique bars and restaurants. It also has a renowned legacy of Scottish witches – perfect for old Elphaba!

Elphaba: The Cauldron

Step into Elphaba’s shoes on Frederick Street and get your green on at The Cauldron.

Craving some glitz and glam? Tigerlily is a vibrant bar and restaurant on George Street where you can get dressed up true Glinda-style. Take your friends for a boozy bottomless brunch or afternoon tea, indulge in their range of delicious drinks on their £5 Drink Out menu, or test their selection of Bar Bites with their Bar Bite Happy Hour, with three bar bites for £15, available Tuesday - Friday. The Wizard: Dr Neil’s Garden

We know that living in a city can feel overwhelming at times, so take a leaf out of the Wizard’s book and escape to Dr Neil’s Garden (for free!), and get lost in the beautiful scenery, twisting and turning around each uniquely planted tree. You can find it tucked away next to Duddingston Loch near Arthur's Seat, and they also have a varied programme of exhibitions and events to discover throughout the year.

Fiyero: Mortal Kocktail

We think that the heartthrob Winkie Prince himself would know the best date night spot in the city – and Mortal Kocktail could be one of Edinburgh’s best hidden gems. This 90s style arcade bar with beers and cocktails is just a two-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley station, located in Craig’s Close alleyway. If the pinball machines aren’t your thing, you can soak up the unique interiors while playing some classic board games with your pals.

Dr Dillamond: Edinburgh Chihuahua Café

Drawing inspiration from the warming and moral Dr Dillamond, the world’s first Chihuahua Café, and Edinburgh’s first dog café on Frederick Street is sure to be a hit. 

This small business operates on a 50-minute booking system where you can choose from several puppy packages, including a special ‘Puppy Party Day’. There is a minimum of two people per booking, from £14 per person.
