I've resided in Yugo for over a year, and I couldn't have imagined selecting another place during my studies. The room is fantastic, and the people were incredibly friendly, it genuinely feels like a home away from home. I'm so grateful for the wonderful experience that I've had during my stay.
If you like a fun, social and interactive place to stay then this is the perfect place for you. I was able to immerse myself in different cultures, food and activities as I learned so much from not only my housemates but also the students I have met in the accommodation.
Booking with Yugo takes five steps: accept your university place, apply for your visa, choose your Yugo residence, arrange a guarantor if needed, and move in. Here's what to expect at each step:
Accept Your University Place: Your journey begins by securing your university offer. Choose where and what you study wisely, as these decisions will shape your education. Apply to your chosen universities, achieve the required grades and accept your offer. The next step is finding the perfect student accommodation.
Apply for Your Visa: If you're planning to study abroad, obtaining your visa is crucial for travel. Start the process early, as it can take time. For assistance, contact your local embassy or check online resources for more information.
Choose your Yugo Residence: Once you know your university and location, visit the Yugo website to explore our accommodation options. Simply click ‘Book Now,’ complete your application and pay your deposit to secure your home for the academic year.
Arrange a Guarantor if Needed: With Yugo, you can pay your rent in full or through instalments. If you choose instalments, a qualified guarantor may be required. There's no need to worry! If you don’t have one, we work with trusted guarantor partners — like Housing Hand in the UK and equivalent services in other countries — to support your application where possible.
Move In: With your accommodation booked and university place accepted, it’s time to move in! Our friendly teams will coordinate your move-in date, time and parking arrangements. For arrivals outside office hours, inform the team in advance.
Yes, you may be able to cancel your booking, but you'll need to provide proof and terms vary. Please check the cancellation policy for your specific booking, or contact our residence team, who can talk you through the options.
Most Yugo properties offer a "No Visa, No Pay" policy: if your student visa application doesn't arrive in time, you can cancel your booking without penalty (terms and conditions apply). It means you can book your student accommodation early and with confidence, even before your visa is confirmed.
Not always. Whether you need a guarantor depends on how you pay: if you pay all your rent in a single payment before check-in, you won't need one. If you pay monthly, a guarantor is usually required.
A guarantor is someone aged 18 or over who agrees to pay your rent if you're unable to, for example, a parent, a guardian or a close relative. If you ever struggle to meet a monthly payment, speak to your support team first: Yugo will only contact your guarantor as a last resort, if the terms of your tenancy can't be met.
It depends on the residence and availability when you book.
If you'd like to live with a friend, tell the accommodation team as early as possible and they'll do their best to place you together. Requests are handled case by case, especially during busy booking periods, so it's always worth getting in touch early to make a specific request.
You can contact the resident team at your Yugo residence for help at any time. Yugo has staff available 24 hours a day, so whenever you have a question or request, they can help you day or night.
Yes, you can. If you're living overseas and can’t visit in person, don’t worry: Yugo offers virtual viewings and live video tours of your chosen residence.
Just reach out to your chosen property’s team and they’ll guide you through the viewing process in the most convenient way to help you choose with confidence.
Where you live during your studies plays a big role in shaping your academic journey, so it’s important to make an informed choice.
