Students love Norwich. It’s got all the historic and architectural kudos, with a friendly community vibe and more pubs than days of the year! England’s first UNESCO City of Literature also serves up a treat for culture buffs with theatres, galleries and a full programme of live music. For shopping, you’ve got one of the largest outdoor markets in the country – or for cute boutiques, cobbled streets and lattes on the side, make a beeline for The Lanes. Sports fan? Norwich City FC is the team to back!
Welcome to East Anglia! Named after the roadway that runs into this historic town, St Crispin’s House is home to a vibrant community of over 500 students, making it a top choice for student accommodation in Norwich. Here, you get to blend life and learning in this stunning slice of England.
With its central location, residents are just a short walk from Norwich University of the Arts (NUA), while the University of East Anglia (UEA) is easily accessible via public transport. Speaking of which, Norwich train station station is just 20 minutes away, providing easy access to London, Cambridge and other destinations.
Like to relax in style? Our movie room has plush seating and giant bean bags perfect for sinking into, a high-definition display and dimmable lighting, providing residents with the perfect space for a cozy movie night. Just imagine hunkering down there one rainy evening.
Feeling inspired to tell your story? St Crispin’s House has its very own podcast studio! Draft your script and take to the microphone with your friends and flatmates to start your own show. If you can dream it, you can record it!
The building is also equipped with keycard access to control entry, so you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing your space is well-protected.
With its blend of urban living, efficient transport links and green spaces, St. Crispin's House is the perfect place to call home! But don't just take our word for it; the building was honoured with the award for Best Student Housing Design at the 2024 Best in Class Awards.
When you’re feeling hungry, there’s a ton of restaurants to choose from. Or head to Norwich Market to sample some local dishes.
For drinks with your mates after a long week of studies, you won’t lose out there either. Have a pint at the famous Adam and Eve pub or a tipple from one of the city’s microbreweries or gin distilleries.
When it comes to shops, Norwich is home to the UK’s biggest Marks and Spencers outside of London and the Royal Arcades shopping centre serves up other big-brand names. But there are also lots of independent shops in Norwich. You’ll find most of them in The Lanes, just a five-minute walk from St. Crispin's House.
There are lots of green spaces around the city and some great riverside walks. The Broads National Park makes for a great outdoorsy afternoon. Or hangout in the Plantation Garden: a great spot for lunch between lectures on a sunny day.
Parents coming for a visit? Don’t worry – there’s plenty to keep them (and you!) entertained, particularly if they’re paying!
Take in a play at the Maddermarket Theatre, a permanent recreation of a Shakespearean-style theatre. Or for something more contemporary, get a taste of London’s West End at the Theatre Royal or The Playhouse.
Culture vultures will also love the Norfolk & Norwich Festival in May. It’s been running for over 200 years and it’s one of the largest international arts festivals in Britain.
The Carrow Road football stadium, home to Norwich City FC (aka the Canaries) is just a 10-minute drive from your Yugo student accommodation. You might want to swot up on the oldest known football song before you go. It’s called ‘On The Ball City’ – Google it and start practising!
Local bus services connect the University of East Anglia to Duke Street. That means you’ve pretty much got a chauffeur service direct to the lecture theatre! And if you’re studying at the Norwich University of the Arts, St Crispin’s House is just a give-minute walk away.
In short, you’ve got the perfect HQ in the form of and student homes in Norwich don’t come much better than ours. So reserve your place and make the most of student life in this fantastic city!
