Florentia Living is around a 15-minute walk from campus, depending on which University of Florence faculty you're attending (Law, Economics and Management, Medicine or Engineering are all nearby, along with Polimoda and other partner institutions).

It's around a 15-minute walk to Università degli Studi di Firenze's Campus delle Scienze Sociali and UNIFI campus, and 16 minutes on foot to the Edificio D15 building. For faculties further out, it's also a 32-minute bus ride to the University of Florence. For study-abroad students, Florida State University is a 45-minute bus ride, NYU Florence is 42 minutes by bus, and Gonzaga University is 35 minutes by bus.

Florentia Living is well connected to central Florence by public transport, including a nearby tram stop, making it easy to reach the city centre, shops and cultural sites without a car.

If you're a prospective first-year undergraduate student and your university plans change, you may be able to cancel your booking up to 15 days before your contract start date, even if the cooling-off period has ended.

What you'll need

To request a cancellation, you'll need to provide the relevant supporting documents:

• A written rejection letter from your chosen university or higher education institution within 72 hours of your exam results being published; or
• A copy of your acceptance letter from your new university if you've decided to study in a different city.

Once we've received and verified your documents, and they meet our cancellation criteria, we'll release you from your Service Agreement/Rental Agreement from the date your cancellation is confirmed. You won't be responsible for any future contractual obligations under your agreement.

Good news: if your cancellation is approved under these terms, your security deposit will be refunded in full.

What if I'm already living at Yugo?

If you've already moved in and are living with us when you receive confirmation that your university application has been unsuccessful, you can still cancel your booking.

In this case, you'll be responsible for paying the full rent for each month from the start of your booking until the month in which you notify us of your cancellation, with any started month charged in full, and your security deposit will be retained, as cancellation fee. No further rent will be due once your cancellation has been processed.

Rent at Florentia Living includes water, heating/air conditioning and electricity, so there are no separate utility bills to manage. It also covers high-speed WiFi, weekly room cleaning with bed linen and towel changes, and full access to all communal areas including the pool, gym, cinema room and study spaces.

Rooms at Florentia Living start from €880 per month for a Smart Studio and range up to €1,320 per month for a Deluxe Studio with balcony, depending on room type and view. Prices vary by studio category — Classic, Smart, Premium, Accessible and Deluxe — so students can choose based on budget and preference.

We know that visa applications can be unpredictable. If your Italian visa application is refused before your contract start date, you can cancel your booking without any worries.

What you'll need

To request your cancellation, simply send us the following within 72 hours of receiving your official visa decision:

• Official confirmation that your Italian visa application has been refused.
• Written confirmation that you'd like to cancel your booking.

Once we've received and verified your documents, we'll cancel your Service Agreement/Rental Agreement and refund your security deposit in full.

Florentia Living has a swimming pool with solarium, gym, cinema room, games room, study rooms, common room and communal kitchen. Outdoor spaces include a rooftop terrace and courtyard, and the building offers 24-hour on-site maintenance, laundry services, bike storage and CCTV.

Yes, if you are making monthly payments towards your accommodation, you will need a guarantor to ensure you are able to make your payments on time.
 

A guarantor will take the liability of making payments on your behalf if you are unable to, for whatever reason. If you are unable to pay your rent, please speak to our support team first – your guarantor will only be used as a last resort.
 

We love animals, but for the welfare of the animals and to be considerate of other residents with, for example, allergies, we do not allow animals in our buildings.
